Autumn

I know September has only just arrived, but I'm so happy, I love the Autumn!

For me nothing beats a crisp, sunny Autumn day,

golden leaves crunch under foot, and swirl in the air,

apples ready for picking, waiting to be made into a crumble,

hydrangeas fading, becoming even more beautiful,

walks in the park wrapped up in many knitted layers

the warm vibrant colours.

What do you love about Autumn?

Oh Ruth, This is such a beautiful post! I adore you take on autumn and absolutely agree with every one of your sentiments... :)

Oh, and I love the colours you've pulled together in the last pic... those rich autumnal browns and oranges on grey (I love grey so much just now!) and that wee flash of bold pink absolutely makes the whole palette! As soon as I saw it I thought it would make a lovely woolly blanket... maybe even a yummy quilt... :)

Thank you so much for taking part in Celebrate Color, I can't wait to see what else you do!

I hope you have the most fabulous day,
Emma, x

Very lovely. I love how many colors you incorporated. Fall isn't just about 3 main colors, it's about reflecting all that is around us.

thank you emma!

It is strange I wrote and published the post before I even read the Celebrate Colour post, and it fitted so perfectly!!

I agree it would make a stunning blanket or quilt, but I'm afraid I don't think I'm up to that standard yet, hopefully one day!!

thank you Kelli, it is surprising the different colours there are present in an Autumn scene!

thank you maureen,

don't know if I will manage to get anything made this time,(well you never know, but I'm not promising anything!) but I will enjoy looking at what everyone else has made and discovering more inspirational images!

Oh, so well done! Your words are as graceful as those photos. I really, really can't wait to go apple picking!

thank you Rachel, what a lovely comment!!

Think I will have to do an apple picking post as I got some good photos of my son tackling the apple tree!

I look forward to reading more, on Stitched in color :)
